                                           George Muller

George Muller was born September 27, 1805. He was born in Kroppenstaedt, Prussia. His mom is Sophie Eleanor Haase, she died in 1820. His dad is Johann Freidrich Muller, he died March 30, 1840. George got married October 7, 1830. They had four children and two of their names are Lyndia and Elijah. His wife, Mary Groves, died February 6, 1870.

George Muller owned an orphanage in Bristol, England. When God told him to buy the orphanage he only had 50 cents in his pocket. According to Mrs. Alexander, he never asked anyone for anything. He only prayed to God for things. Sure enough, God sent truckloads to his orphanage with food and things to help him. Someone sent him $7,000,000 for maintaining the orphan home.

Two of his quotes are, “God’s plan is there shall be none of self and all of Christ. The very people who are doing the most for God in saving souls, in mission work, in the care of orphans, are those who are working on short supplies of strength, of money, of talents, of advantages, and are kept in a position of living by faith and taking from God, day by day both physical and spiritual supplies. This is the way God succeeds and gains conquests over His own people, and over the unbelief of those who look on His providences," and, "At last I saw Christ as my Saviour. I believed in Him and gave myself to Him. The burden rolled from off me, and a great love for Christ filled my soul. That was more than fifty years ago. I loved Jesus Christ then, but I loved Him more the year after, and more the year after that, and more every year since."
