BA#17

                                                                Dustin
The first comic I chose was Dustin. Dustin made a valet parking sign outside of Walmart. Then Meg came by and gave him a sandwich. Dustin told her that he stayed out there for five hours and only got two cars. The reason this is funny is because he put the sign right outside Walmart and not where cars were coming into the parking lot. This comic was made for amusement.
                                    The Wizard Of ID
The second comic I picked was the Wizard of ID. In this comic they were telling the news and the anchor said it was time for the weather with Hank. Hank said it was a 10% of rain. Two seconds later rain started pouring down on him. The wind was so strong he flew off his stand and into the building. Then the anchor said it was time for the financial report. Then a person right next to the building of where Hank was said," Let's hope it is more accurate than the weather. The reason for this comic is amusement.
                                          Pickles
The third comic I picked was Pickles. In this comic there is a little boy is sitting on his grandmother's lap looking at her wrinkles. Then she told him that you can tell what you are by your face features. Then she said,'' Every line, every sag says something about you. When you look at an old person's face you can tell what kind of life they lived." Then the little boy asked," What can you tell when you look at a young person's face?" Then she said," What they ate for dinner." This comic is made for amusement.

BA#15- Monet

                                          Claude Monet
Claude Monet was a famous french artist. He was born November 14,1840. He was the second son of  Clause Adolphe Monet and Louise-Justine Aubree. He lived until  December 5,1926. His birth name is Oscar-Claude Monet. His mom died when he was 16.
Most of the settings of his paintings were outside. When he went to Paris he sat by a window and painted what he saw. He had a room twice the size of  Mrs. Alexander's filled with paintings as tall as the wall. He impressed many people with his paintings. He  was known for painting his water lily garden. He was also known for painting the bridge over the lily pond.
Therefore, Claude Monet was a very famous French artist. He painted over a thousand paintings and they are famous everywhere in France. Two of my favorite paintings of his are Water Lily Pond and The Japanese Bridge. The Water Lily pond is famous because it resembles his water lily pond and the painting is done professionally. The Japanese Bridge is famous since it has been painted so many times by Claude, it is all over popular. Claude Monet inspires me since I want to become a artist one day.

BA#14

                                           George Muller

George Muller was born September 27, 1805. He was born in Kroppenstaedt, Prussia. His mom is Sophie Eleanor Haase, she died in 1820. His dad is Johann Freidrich Muller, he died March 30, 1840. George got married October 7, 1830. They had four children and two of their names are Lyndia and Elijah. His wife, Mary Groves, died February 6, 1870.

George Muller owned an orphanage in Bristol, England. When God told him to buy the orphanage he only had 50 cents in his pocket. According to Mrs. Alexander, he never asked anyone for anything. He only prayed to God for things. Sure enough, God sent truckloads to his orphanage with food and things to help him. Someone sent him $7,000,000 for maintaining the orphan home.

Two of his quotes are, “God’s plan is there shall be none of self and all of Christ. The very people who are doing the most for God in saving souls, in mission work, in the care of orphans, are those who are working on short supplies of strength, of money, of talents, of advantages, and are kept in a position of living by faith and taking from God, day by day both physical and spiritual supplies. This is the way God succeeds and gains conquests over His own people, and over the unbelief of those who look on His providences," and, "At last I saw Christ as my Saviour. I believed in Him and gave myself to Him. The burden rolled from off me, and a great love for Christ filled my soul. That was more than fifty years ago. I loved Jesus Christ then, but I loved Him more the year after, and more the year after that, and more every year since."

Blog Assignment #13: Africa/Storytelling

Blog Assignment #13: Africa/Storytelling

The first two videos I chose were about milking the cows and taking care of the cows. As I was watching the video I saw the mom milk the cow. Then I saw how her mom took the butter out of the milk. Then she mixed up the milk to make it drinkable. The little boy went and took care of the cows by giving them drinking water out of a well. He also went on a thirty-minute walk with the cows to a field. They stayed there a while and I got to see two of the cows fight.

The next two videos I watched were about getting water for their dinner and making dinner. The girl first got a bucket and filled it with water. Then some of her friends and family helped her put it on her head. So she wouldn't hurt her head, she put a cloth on her head before the bucket. Every day the women of the town make dinner for the whole village. They made rice, vegetables, and fish. First they clean the fish with water and cut it to cook it. They cook all of the food in the same pot. You can tell they all have a good time cooking and eating.
